Benefits We Receive By Reason Of The New Covenant Blood Of Jesus Being In Heaven.

For the past few months I've been teaching about the Blood of Jesus Christ at a Christian drug rehabilitation center in southern New Jersey. The teaching is really turning out to be a blessing to most of the people there. It seems there is a need for people to have a greater understanding of what the Blood of Jesus Christ is for.

The Blood of Jesus Christ is the most powerful element in the universe. Anyone who is not a believer would have no understanding of this at all because it involves spiritual understanding which only the Holy Ghost can give. Since a non-believer has no Holy Ghost it will seem like so much foolishness. So you non-believers need to get a life. It is available to you. As a matter of fact let me take just a minute to offer you an opportunity to receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Read the follow scripture out loud:

Romans 10:4 For Christ [is] the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. 5 For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them. 6 But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down [from above]:) 7 Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.) 8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, [even] in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

This scripture speaks of righteousness by the law vs. righteousness by faith. The law was passed down to the children of Israel by Moses as he received it from God Himself. But this law imposed ordinances on people that they could not bear or endure. In other words because humanity is not perfect and prone to sin, there needed to be laws that were set up as guidelines for living. And if the Israelites blew it they had to shed the blood of animals to cover the sin. This is what God’s law said. But it was an imperfect system and did not work. But God had a better plan. The whole issue is how do we deal with sin? The wages of sin is death. Every man or woman will sin. No matter how good you may think you are, you will sin at various times in your life. Christians sin, non-Christians sin, the Pope sins, pastors sin, murderers, thieves and rapist sin. In this there is no difference between persons.

The last thing that we would ever want to do is die in sin and spend an eternity in Hell. So God set up a way out. A way for us not to suffer the effects of sin. In the Old testament the imperfect system of sacrificing animals and using the blood as a cleansing agent was used to cover sin. If the wages of sin is death, than something had to die to cover the sin. Animals were used for this purpose. God says the life is in the blood. And it could be used for an atonement for sin. But killing millions of animals over thousands of years was not the final plan of God. He had something better in mind. Something perfect. Something that would totally eliminate the sin and all of its effects. But the law was imperfect that Moses passed down. Then there were the ordinances that had to be adhered to. Don’t do this, don’t do that. Circumcision was one of the required ordinances that had to be carried out. A male child had to be circumcised by a certain age or be condemned. There were many requirements under the law.

The law of Moses brought about righteousness by the law. The righteousness by faith does away with righteousness by the law in every respect. Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. What that means is that whoever believes in Jesus Christ and confesses it with his mouth and believes in Him in his heart he is saved. Sounds simple right? It was meant to be simple. There is nothing that you have to do to be saved from eternal damnation but believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. So if you want to be saved right here and now just repeat these words:

Lord I am a sinner. I want to be saved from all of the sin I have committed in my life. I repent of everything that has been a breach against your law. I turn away from sin. I thank you for the perfect Blood of the Son of God Jesus Christ that washes away my sin. I ask that you accept me into your divine kingdom and be my Father for all of eternity. Please forgive my sin. Teach me how to live and worship you all the days of my life. Thank you Father for making me one of your own. Amen.

Now you have been accepted into God’s kingdom. There are some people who will tell you that you have to do things in order to be saved. They are liars. Even if they profess to be Christian. There are those in the church who do not understand salvation and that we are saved by grace and not by anything that we do. Not by praying, witnessing, singing on the choir, pastoring a church, working on the mission field, or any seemingly religious activity. It is not what we do that saves us. We are totally incapable of removing the sin and its effects from our lives. All of the above activities are good ones, and I encourage people to take part in each of them if they are called. But those things will not bring you salvation. Only belief in Jesus Christ will save you. It is what He did that saves, not what we do. Jesus was the perfect sacrifice and when He died on the cross and rose from the dead He finalized everything that could work against us because of sin. It is done by His Blood.

So now that you are a son or daughter of God you need to know all of the benefits we have because of the Blood of Jesus Christ.

1. Cleansing from sin by the Blood

1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have
fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

2. Justification available by the Blood. We are justified. Just as if we had never sinned. If we sin at some point in the future it does NOT mean that we are no longer saved. It means we must repent from our sin, ask for forgiveness and not return to repetitive cycles of sinning. The Blood of Jesus is a perfect offering once and for all for sin.

Romans 5:9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.

Because of the Blood we will not go through the tribulation. We are saved from wrath.

3. Redemption through the Blood

Ephesians 1:7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.

When I first became a Christian I attended a church in West Philadelphia. One morning I went to a Sunday school class and was given an example of what salvation is like in a story about a Christian man. This man goes to work one day and finds out that he has been laid off from the job. He is so despondent that he leaves his former job and goes to a bar just to get one drink. But one drink leads to many drinks and he ends up getting stone drunk. He heads for the door to leave the bar. Goes out the door to get to his car. He is parked on the other side of the street and steps off the curb to get to his car. As soon as he steps into the street a bus hits him and kills him. Does he go to heaven or hell? I got the answer wrong 18 years ago as a new Christian. I sent that man to Hell. But I was wrong. He was a believer in Jesus Christ. And once you are saved you are always saved unless you totally renounce your faith and serve Satan. Some will say if you do renounce Jesus Christ, you were never saved in the first place. I think only God knows the answer to that one.

4. Reconciliation through the Blood

Romans 3:25 Whom God set forth [as] a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed.

5. Peace with God through the Blood.

Colossians 1:20 and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross..

Part II

CLASS 2

III. REVELATION HAS PENETRATION AND GOVERNING POWER

2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Review: a.) Expect to receive revelation knowledge. b.) The Holy Spirit unveils it to us. c.) We must ask the Lord to make us understand.

Pray for revelation
A. Revelation is not just words -- it comes with an intensity that inscribes His Word on your heart and mind.

Hebrews 10:16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
Righteousness has penetrating ability and governing ability.

Example of violating natural law: When you get close to the event of violation, you become very aware of the penalty of those laws.

1. Speeding violation.
2. Stealing candy as a child

You have a choice: Slow down or disobey.

Law-impressed becomes guardian to your lifestyle -- if making an off course decision, the law then comes up and alarms you on the inside.

B. Likewise, the revelation of righteousness will become a guardian of your lifestyle. When you violate the laws of liberty in Christ Jesus, then righteousness revelation comes up and governs your thinking.

Law is a Negative Motivation. Most people are governed by law and penalty. Even people in the church.

Righteousness gives positive motivation by partaking of the liberty and benefits of God’s fellowship with you.

Meditation produces Revelation
Revelation produces Motivation
Motivation produces Action
Action produces Fruits or Results

IN THE BEGINNING, RIGHTEOUSNESS THE ORIGINAL THOUGHT AND INTENT OF GOD

TEXT: Genesis 1:26 – 28 v.26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. V.27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. v.28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

I. GOD ORIGINALLY MADE MAN ON AN EQUAL PLANE WITH HIMSELF

The natural mind equates imagery and likeness to the parent. "She is just like her mother." Or he is just like his father. God is the initiator of making in image and likeness. Man was enabled to commune with God on the same level of existence as God.

A. What was in God's mind concerning man? God’s original intent for man was righteousness.

1. Not that God was to have the physical attributes of man, but that man was to have the spiritual attributes of God.
2. To have His ability to exercise His authority

Hebrews 2:6 – 8 v.6 But one in a certain place [Psalms 8:4] testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man that thou visitest him? v.7 Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands: v.8 Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.

Angels (Elohim [Hebrew]) = God Himself

2. God's motivation in creation was to take His life, reproduce, and create offspring called man. Now man was created in His own image and likeness; then God turned everything over to him.
Example: A business apprentice (father and son business) the father trains, entrusts to the child, and gives the business/labor of his life over to him. The father's pride is not in his labor, but it is in his son.

God's objective was for God to labor, and then put it in Adam's hands. He created an adult

(Critical Statement) -- not a developing child -- with the attributes of God.

Colossians 2:9 For in him (Jesus) dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
Your view of yourself vs. God’s intent and the way He sees you as He reveals it to you in prayer.

The struggle of development is not on your shoulders.

A Christian is not to become a Christian. He is to discover what he is.

B. Man's task is to discover what he is.

1. Adam was to discover what he already was. Adam's spiritual walk had nothing to do with growth and development, but with discovery.
Hebrews 2:7 Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; (Elohim) thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands:
2. There was an internal command realm, that when Adam spoke, creation instantly obeyed. Adam, at his inception, finds himself as a master and ruler only! Everything is at his beckon and command. Everything obeys his voice!
3. Today we are influenced by our environment instead of influencing our environment. So we tend to develop in terms of the amount and type of influence our environment exerts on us.
4. Its like going through life hoping that things will work out for me. Righteousness revelation makes you realize that now that you are in right standing with God you make these things work out.
5. Adam had innocence and dominion. That is what you have been given by God.
Innocence = no knowledge of good and evil; no sense of guilt, only of God and what He could do; innocent from any presence that could not obey him
Dominion = to have total rule and authority over
Hebrews 2:8 Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.

Submit = yield to the way of

Subject = arrange yourself under

Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Colossians 1:16 – 18 v.16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: v.17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. v.18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

6. Satan is explicitly designed to obey God. His rebellion is his problem.
7. Satan is subject to us.

v.16 For by him (Jesus) were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
Preeminence = to hold the first place; to be the all authoritative one

8. Righteousness says that which was the original intent of God in the Adamic creation is the intent of God for the church.
9. Satan was pre-notified that his master is man. You must understand the jealousy in Satan as he heard that man was to be the offspring of God. The Fall occurred because Adam did not speak!

Isaiah 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

10. We are offspring of God. Angels are not offspring of God.
11. Satan rebelled against God’s original intent of God for man.
12. Satan wants you to think you have been demoted and have to prove yours self.
14. God wants you to know that you have been elevated to the level of His original intent for man. Meaning you are in charge and the boss of everything.
13. All Eve had to do was say Satan get out of here and leave us alone.

II. THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF ADAM

A. Adam was given total authority over all creation; God created all for man.

Genesis 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply,
and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

B. God provided everything for man before He created man. Everything was designed to be self-perpetuating (seed-bearing). God was more than generous and loving to Adam.
Genesis 1:29 – 31 v.29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. v.30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so. v.31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
God's and man's mind were one, in union, there was no concept of failure.
Read Genesis 1 - 3 with appreciation, and meditate on it; revelation knowledge will result.

C. Everything is given now to you. Righteousness is not a labor of me or you it is a labor of God.

2 Corinthians 1:20 For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.

D. God worked for man first.
1. God created, then He produced the work for man; then He rested, and now calls man to His rest of faith. Labor to enter into His rest. (Works Motivation vs. Righteousness Revelation)
2. Religion is man’s attempt to do this and that and work to get noticed or made right in the eyes of God It is as if we try to work out our own salvation. Or crucify Christ again. Work is a product of rest – Righteousness says it is already done for you. Have your eyes open for disclosure and revelation.

Genesis 2:8 – 17 v.8 And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put
the man whom he had formed. v.9 And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. v.10 And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads. v.11 The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold; v.12 And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone. v.13 And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia. v.14 And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates. v.15 And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. v.16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: v.17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

3. He has already worked in our rest of His faith. Adam was placed in an environment that was already working for him.

Hebrews 4:3, 9 – 11 v.3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. v.9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. v.10 For he that is entered into his rest, (Not latent inactivity but a place of comprehension of God’s activity.) he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. v.11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

a. God does everything first, then directs you to follow. God kept the enemy from your life; now you keep the enemy out of your life.
b. God has already planted; just enjoy the growth of it!
c. This understanding takes the performance pressure off and puts the relationship desire on. You become aware of God walking with you.
d. God gives you responsibility with ability. Man was enabled to do; not responsibility with inferiority, or without authority in God to do it!
e. Righteousness says, "I can do all things through Christ; we are well able to take the land!" (Don’t say I will do my best. God does not want your best. Not ever.)
f. Once revelation of righteousness is really revealed, you realize the whole world has been notified of your existence. Everything is waiting for you to speak to it and command it.

Romans 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

Romans 8:19 For [even the whole] creation (all nature) waits expectantly and longs earnestly for God’s sons to be made known [waits for the revealing, the disclosing of their sonship]. (Amplified Bible)

g. Any word that diminishes His dream for your life diminishes your righteousness-consciousness and makes you more aware of inferiority than ability.

E. Adam had the ability to protect what God gave him.

You want to be a Christian you just don't know it yet!

You want to be a Christian you just don't know it yet!

I've been a Christian for 17 years. Prior to that I was a Buddhist for 14 years. Believe me, Christianity is far better. I'll do some teaching on this blog regarding one of the most important concepts of Christianity. You may agree or disagree. The concept is "righteousness" and it has completely changed my life as a Christian.

I teach about righteouness at a drug rehabilitation center in Southern New Jersey. I'm going to post some or all of the lessons here.

One of the reasons young people get involved in drugs is because of low self esteem. I know it is one of the reasons I got involved in drugs as a teen and why I continued doing drugs as an adult. I no longer do drugs but for years as an adult I still had low self esteem. I became a Buddhist in my early twenties and that was no help at all. It was Nichiren Shoshu Buddhism which had me more screwed up than I would have been ordinarily. I thank God I got out of that mess.

RIGHTEOUSNESS INTRODUCTION AND EXPECTATIONS

I need to give you some background information about me. When I first became a Christian I was a child. I became disillusioned with the faith in my teens and became very cynical and radical. I considered myself to be a revolutionary and no self respecting revolutionary had any business believing in the white man's God. So Christianity was out. I began doing drugs and ended up flunking out of high school in Camden NJ.

I eventually took the NJ state GED test and got my diploma. I developed an interest in eastern philosophy and religion and even started taking Kung Fu lessons in my twenties. My study of the martial arts was a logical step in the direction of the Buddhist religion. But Buddhism is a spiritual trap. The god of Buddha is the devil and there is no salvation in the devil. It took me 14 years to realize the evil of Buddhism. Early in my Buddhist practice I reconnected with a friend I knew as a child. He had been living in Seattle WA and had recently moved back to NJ. He told me a story about one of his former girl friends who had been practicing Nichiren Shoshu Buddhism. One of the things you do as a NS Buddhist is chant some mystical phrase over and over again. You also recite portions of the Lotus Sutra every morning and evening. This former girl friend was chanting her evening prayer in her apartment in Camden one night and she heard a noise at her window. She heard the window open and saw what turned out to be a huge ugly demon climbing into the window. Needless to say, she got out of that room and also never chanted again. Shortly there after she became a Christian.

I didn't want to believe this story and continued to practice. I downplayed the story as best I could. I figured, how could Buddhism, a religion that has been practiced by millions of people for thousands of years be evil? It just couldn't be. But that story stuck with me. It played in the back of my head for years. So I took this stance. Not knowing the one true God, I spoke to Him and asked Him to show me if my practice of Buddhsim was evil. And if it was evil to get me out of it. I had that assurance. It was a small assurance but I had it. I continued to practice NS Buddhism for a few more years.

I remember hearing a Japanese NS Buddhist young men's division leader in Philadelphia talk about walking into a relative's apartment room and feeling uneasy as he tried to chant. He said he looked around the room to try to see what it was that made him feel that way. After a few moments he saw what it was. It was a crucifixion on the wall. He removed it and threw it away.

There were many things that challenged my belief in NS Buddhism over the years. One of those things was the attutude of certain of the Japanese leaders towards African Americans. But the final straw came in a series of events. I was working on a video in New York City and was traveling with Bruce the producer of the video who happened to be a friend and a NS Buddhist. On the way to NY he told me a story about two NS Buddhist, Tal and Andy, who were personal friends of mine. I hadn't seen either of them in a while and asked about them for that reason. Bruce told me that neither of them were practicing any longer and went on to explain why. Tal and Andy were going together. Tal got very ill as a result of some chronic ailment she had. They were living in Atlantic City, NJ. For some reason she left Andy and moved to Virginia to be with her family. There was a serious flair-up of this chronic condition while there and her family put her in the hospital where she later died. But before she died Andy went to see her and she told him about an experience she had one night in the hospital. You see Tal came from a devout Christian Family. Her father was the Pastor of a church in VA. They had been praying for her salvation and wanted her to denounce her faith in NS Buddhism. She did just that. When Andy went to see her in the hospital she was adament about him stopping his practice of Buddhism and went on to tell him what happened one night in the hospital. She awoke out of a troubled sleep. After a few minutes she saw a small creature come up out of her stomach. It climbed down off of the bed and jumped to the floor and walked out of the room. Tal got out of bed and went to the doorway and into the hall as she watched this thing walk down the hall. Tal never chanted again. She died a short time later. I never saw Tal or Andy again.

A week later I was in my house kneeling in front of my Buddhist alter. I was having trouble chanting. The stories were in my head and I kept asking myself are you studid or something? I looked at the scoll in the cabinet on the alter that all NS Buddhist chant to. I could not chant any longer. Something told me to get up and go into the basement. I got up and headed towards the basement. I opened the door and climbed down the steps. I heard a noise in the lower level of my basement and turned on the light just in time to see an orange thing climb out of my basement window. I never chanted again. I gave my life to the Lord Jesus Christ, renounced my Buddhist faith and never looked back. It was the best thing I have ever done in my life.

1 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him [to be] sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Abraham believed God and God accounted it to him for righteousness. It is true of those of us who are believers in Christ. It is our belief in Him that saves us and not any act that we can do. Salvation is so simple. It is not a difficult thing to understand. But ultimately it is God who gives us revelation about things of the spirit.

TEXT: Romans 5:21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

I. INTRODUCTION

I always thought that righteousness was a way in which we are supposed to act. And there are many in the Body of Christ who believe that the way you act, pray, sing on the choir or preach and teach in the church is what will make you righteous. This is a deception. Deceived people do not know they are deceived. Ask one and you will see. There is no way that acting righteous will justify you in the eyes of God. It will not happen. Righteousness is a free gift. You can't do anything to earn it. Jesus did it all on the cross and in His resurrection.

Then you have the people who have comitted some sin or trespass in life and refuse to believe that God would ever forgive them for it. This is another deception and will keep many people from fellowship with God and other believers. A Christian who goes out and commits sin on a Saturday night will find it hard to go to church on Sunday morning. Even if they have been taught that they have a forgiving God for a Father. We should avoid sin at all cost but when we sin, and we will, we should run to the alter and repent and ask for forgiveness. Because we have been made righteous in the eyes of God because of the shed Blood of Jesus Christ we can go right before the throne of God and ask for forgiveness.

Righteousness = the ability to stand in the presence of God without any sense of guilt, without any sense of inferiority, just as if sin never existed.

This is the very basis of the righteouness that is given to us as a free gift from God. I did not really discover this concept until 7 years into my faith. I'll explain later how I found it but in actuallity I did not find it any more than God sent it. And it was at a time in my life that was unbelievably horrifying. But more about that later.

= (Gr.) uprightness/right-standing with God

A. What would life be like without the effect of these experiences?

How often did I feel a sense of not being worthy of being in the presenence of God? Too often.

1. Experiences of inferiority

a. To relate to God – Get right with God and then come to Him is contrary to righteousness.

b. To other people: weight, height, etc.

c. Racial oppression. Your past history making you inferior -- education, age, experience, etc.

2. The effect of shame or guilt

Shame = (Webster) disturbed by the painful feeling of guilt, incompetence, dishonor, disgrace, indecency; blameworthy

Guilt = the act of having done wrong by sinning; conduct involving moral, ethical, or legal breech. There should be no shame associated with anything in your life. It is just fact without the sense of guilt, just information.

3. Living as though your past history is not having any effect

An ability to stand without the effect of your history on your presentand your future

B. Two kinds of righteousness

1. Self-righteousness by man = effort to achieve the recognition and acceptance of God; trying to fulfill God's words in order to relieve the effects or penalty of sina. Always questioning if your are worthy enough

b. Demonstrates itself by strict religious practices and a highmindedness

2. Righteousness of God = not earned, merited, or deserveda. It is a gift from God imputed to us by what Jesus did, not by what we did.

b. You can do nothing to have righteousness given to you.

Matthew 5:20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

3. Righteousness of God is the key revelation for us to be able to walk in:

a. Faith
b. Health
c. Prosperity
d. Victory over sin
e. Victory over Satan
f. Safety
g. Peace
h. All the promises of God
i. Fellowship with God

II. EXPECTATIONS

A. Righteousness revelation will absolutely change you.You will change in the way you think and feel about:

1. Inferiority, insecurity, fear
2. Inherent internal fears; anticipation of things going wrong
3. Behavior patterns which seem to be unending

Isaiah 54:11 - 17 v.11 O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colours, and lay thyfoundations with sapphires. v.12 And I will make thy windows of agates, and thy gates ofcarbuncles, and all thy borders of pleasant stones. v.13 And all thy children shall be taught of the LORD; and greatshall be the peace of thy children. v.14 In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be farfrom oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror;for it shall not come near thee. v.15 Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me:whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall forthy sake. v.16 Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals inthe fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy. v.17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; andevery tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thoushalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

B. The Church is to be established in righteousness.

1. Free from oppression, fear, and terrorv.14 In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be farfrom oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror;for it shall not come near thee. Established = fixed, immovable

2. No weapon formed against you prospers! v.17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD. C. Declare that I expect to receive:Revelation knowledge Perspective = a new way of seeing Experience = results from God's action. You will not have the experience part until the Word of God is revealed personally to you.

1. Revelation knowledge

Revelation knowledge = to reveal, unveil, or disclose by direct encounter of the Holy Spirit; He takes things never seen by natural senses and discloses it to you.

a. It is not received by normal senses or by logical progression of thoughts.

b. Your senses or your mind will never tell you are righteous.

c. The Holy Spirit is unveiling to your spirit what Jesus did for you.

2. How to receive revelation knowledge

Colossians 1:26 - 27 v.26 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and fromgenerations, but now is made manifest to his saints: v.27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the gloryof this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

Mystery = information disclosed by Goda. God alone gives revelation by His Holy Spirit. 1 Corinthians 2:13 - 14 v.13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. v.14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spirituallydiscerned.Discerned = scrutinized, examined, investigated

1 John 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. Where you are not living is where you are not taught!

b. God requires an open heart of expectation. Set yourself, and focus on the Lord until you are made to understand.

Daniel 10:12 - 14 v.12 Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from thefirst day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words. v.13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood meone and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with thekings of Persia. v.14 Now I am come to make thee understand what shallbefall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision isfor many days. Cry out with your heart!

Psalms 119:145 - 147 v.145 I cried with my whole heart; hear me, O LORD: I will keep thy statutes. v.146 I cried unto thee; save me, and I shall keep thytestimonies. v.147 I prevented the dawning of the morning, and cried: I hoped in thy word.

c. You must meditate.

Meditate = to mutter, speak, roll over and over again

Psalms 1:1 - 3 v.1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of theungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sittethin the seat of the scornful. v.2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his lawdoth he meditate day and night. v.3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Meditation is like a rough rock rolling down from a mountain stream until it finally reaches the ocean. Then it is smooth and almost transparent.

Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.d.
